The amalgamation between the modern psychoanalysis and the humanistic psychology

----The understanding and applying to empathy

Abstract:

Empathy is put forward by C.R.Rogers who was the initiator of the humanistic psychology, the concept indicates a kind of internal world which could embed in others, and the capability of understanding the emotion of the others. Empathy in the humanistic psychology offers better expression attitudes and manners for the clarification confrontation and interpretation, any techniques in psychoanalysis. Whereas modern psychoanalysis point out that if there is no countertransference in the unconsciousness, there ‘ s no empathy. To deeply comprehend the unconsciousness is more advanced empathy. What Kohut, modern psychoanalytic school , refers to the viewpoint of empathy in his self psychology embodies the  amalgamation between the modern psychoanalysis and the humanistic psychology.
